Experience History

Situated in a historic building built in the 1920s, The Allure boosts vaulted ceilings illuminated with 4 magnificent chandeliers, a Chicago style lounge, an art deco bar, a 1,700sq foot bridal suite and a cascading staircase that always provides the perfect backdrop for any photo. But these amazing features only begin to describe our 2nd floor. A hand-painted dance floor is located in the middle of the ballroom and is irresistible even the most amateur dancer.

Our 1st floor hosts an enchanting ceremony space where any bride will feel like a princess as she walks down the aisle. Our sleek and classic style cocktail lounge complemented by our contemporary bar features original prints and several seating options where your guests can relax, sip their cocktails and enjoy your event.

The Alluring Vision

Prior to its first wedding in May 2009, The Allure was truly a labor of love for owner, Troy Clark. Clark spent four painstaking years personally demolishing, rebuilding and restoring what was previously the “Old Eagles Building” into one of the most popular, enchanting wedding venues in Northern Indiana.

It was LaPorte’s unique, central location, along with it’s downtown architecture, that led him to purchase the historic building. Situated a short distance east of Notre Dame and west of Chicago, The Allure sits perfectly positioned to accommodate a wide range of clients with all of their wedding and event needs.

Clark envisions the wedding and event center to have an influence on the economic atmosphere of the area. The Allure has proudly established professional relationships with several local businesses, restaurants and hotels. These vendors have expressed their appreciation to The Allure for the bridge it has created in welcoming out-of-town visitors to come explore and experience LaPorte County. Chicago couples, their friends and families now return to visit LaPorte’s lakes, stay at Arbor Hill Inn or the Best Western, have drinks at Enzo’s, buy their flowers at Thode’s.

The venue has been featured in area magazines such as Wedding Day, Wedding Essentials, and Chicago Style. It is our hope that we would continue to serve as a reminder to the local community that LaPorte is truly a magnificent gem.
